Drop-In Centers We have two drop-in centers for tutoring. The Enumclaw center is in the KIDS B.A.S.E. building at 1920 Division St., between J.J. Smith Elementary and Byron Kibler Elementary. The Black Diamond center is in the Black Diamond Community Center. Each center has computer labs available. These centers, designed in a coffeehouse style with free refreshments and snacks (including de-caf espresso drinks), is open to all students in grades 6-12 residing in the Enumclaw School District. The centers are open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6PM - 9PM during regular school terms and over the summer break. The centers are staffed with tutors in all subjects (as available) who undergo national background checks and tutoring training. We are now offering drop-in facilities for Grades K-5. The centers will be open in Enumclaw on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8PM and in Black Diamond on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9PM. Grades K-5, students (or identifiable groups of) must be accompanied by an adult who will stay in the tutoring center while students are there. They may participate in the tutoring sessions or just kick back and enjoy lattes/Italian sodas, granola bars, etc.... - but they must stay! |
