| With mounting pressure to teach more content to more students catering to a wider variety of learning styles with smaller budgets, we have pushed our schools to the brink. We claim that education of our children is a proirity - and we all agree that it takes a village - but everyone seems to be waiting for that village to step up to the plate. In Enumclaw and Black Diamond, our communities understand that WE are that village. We are committed to supporting our school system in providing Equal Opportunity to Learn through three community supported venues |
EXTENDED LEARNING PROGRAM
The Enumclaw School District has launched a program to provide an after school study environment at each of the secondary schools. One struggle they face is staffing this program with tutors. We will help support this program by supplementing district teachers with tutors from our volunteer pool.
Note: While service for our tutors is free, the School District requires a $40 fee for each session ($20 if qualified for a scholarship).

DROP IN CENTERS
We have two drop in centers for tutoring. The Enumclaw center will be in the KIDS B.A.S.E. building at 1920 Division St. The second will be at the Black Diamond Community Center. Each center has a computer lab available. These centers are open to all students in grades K-12 residing in the Enumclaw School District. The centers will be open during regular school terms and over the summer break.

ONLINE ASSTANCE
We have established a virtual campus at our website (www.enumclawtutors.org). After free registration, students can log into the campus and seek help from class forums or directly from any subject matter tutors available during the time they log-in. If they need help beyond the forums and there is not a tutor currently available on-line, they can submit a request for help and a tutor will contact them via e-mail within 48 hours. |
