Enumclaw + Black Diamond Tutoring = Creating Equal Opportunity To Learn

Our goal is to provide students desiring to improve their in-class performance a broad range of tutoring that spans multiple subjects and learning disciplines, including: Math; Science; English; History; Reading; Spanish; Social Studies; as well as classroom and home Study Skills. With three venues available, our program is flexible enough to work with any schedule.

Drop-In Centers

We have two drop-in centers for tutoring. Each center has a computer lab available. These centers are open to all students in grades K-12 residing in the Enumclaw School District. The centers are open during regular school terms and over the summer break.

The tutoring centers are set up in a coffee house-style to provide a comfortable learning environment with refreshments, and each also features a computer lab with Internet access.

Enumclaw School District Extended Learning Program

The Enumclaw School District launched a program (Fall 2007) to provide an after school study environment at each of the secondary schools (Thunder Mountain Middle School and Enumclaw Middle School and Enumclaw High School). This program has two primary goals: Help middle school students improve their math and writing skills (key components of the WASL); and assist students in middle and high school with credit retrieval (retaking courses they have failed, to recover credits for graduation). One struggle the district faces with this effort is staffing. Our program directly assists the effort by providing tutors to supplement the district teachers.

*Note: While service for our tutors is free, the School District requires a $40 fee for each Extended Learning Program session ($20 if qualified for a scholarship).
